Successful implementation of the Web Survey Day 2017
The "Web Survey Day" (DSA) is an event organised by the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Social Sciences, Centre for Social Informatics since 2012.
Over 200 participants attend the event each year. The target audience is both the professional public and other users of online surveys who are interested in the latest developments and trends in online survey methodology.
This year's event took place on 21 September at the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Social Sciences. The main topic of the event was an overview of global trends in online surveys and ten years of 1KA development.
The event consisted of three sets of interactive seminars. The first set, Preliminary familiarisation with the 1KA tool, was divided into two seminars: A systematic overview of the main functionalities (Gregor Čehovin and Miha Matjašič) and Advanced and new functionalities (Marjana Vrh and Katja Zrim) for 1KA users and participants of previous events.
The second part of the conference was dedicated to the main methodological lecture, where Dr. Vasja Vehovar presented the trends in online surveys and ten years of development of 1KA.
Four seminars were held in the third block. Dr. Barbara Brečko and Robert Šmalc presented the evaluation of pedagogical work in primary and secondary schools, Dr. Vasja Vehovar presented the evaluation of pedagogical work in higher and higher education, and Peter Hrvatin and Miha Matjašič presented the installation and integration of 1KA, the API and the business customization of the 1KA application. In the last seminar, Katja Zrim and Uroš Podkrižnik presented the adaptation of online surveys to mobile devices.
