WEB SURVEY DAY 2017, 21ST OF SEPTEMBER
Since 2012, members of University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Social Sciences, Centre for Social Informatics organise the event Web Survey Day. The event has over 200 attendees each year. The target audience of the events are professional public as well as other web survey users who are interested in the state-of- the-art advances and trends in the field of web survey methodology.
This year’s event was held on 21st September at the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Social Sciences. The main topic of the event were global trends of on-line surveys and the 10th anniversary of 1KA development.
The event was divided into three sections of interactive seminars. The first section titled Preliminary pairing with 1KA tool was divided into two seminars: Systematic overview of key functionalities (Gregor Čehovin in Miha Matjašič) for non-users of 1KA and New and advanced functionalities (Marjana Vrh in Katja Zrim) for users of 1KA and visitors of the past events.
The second section was intended to central methodological lecture, where Vasja Vehovar, PhD, presented trends of online surveying and 10 years of 1KA development.
In the third section, four seminars were carried out. Barbara Brečko, PhD, and Robert Šmalc presented evaluations of pedagogical work in primary and high schools and Vasja Vehovar, PhD, presented evaluations of pedagogical work in higher education system. Peter Hrvatin and Miha Matjašič presented the instalment and integration of 1KA, API and business adaptions of 1KA. In the final seminar Katja Zrim and Uroš Podkrižnik presented adaption of on-line surveys to mobile devices.
