Announcing: Online survey day, 18 September 2018

On 18 September 2018, the Faculty of Social Sciences will host the seventh edition of the Day of Online Survey (DSA18), organised by the Centre for Social Informatics (CDI), Faculty of Social Sciences, UL. 

The main aim of the professional meeting is to share knowledge and experience with all those who are involved in online data capture in their work (e.g. teaching, research, evaluation, applications and administrative processes).

The event is organised at the Centre for Social Informatics (CDI), Faculty of Social Sciences (FSS), University of Ljubljana, where we are also developing the open-source online survey tool 1KA.

The programme will start with a brief overview of the trends in the field of online surveys and the development of the 1KA tool (dr. Vasja Vehovar).

In the plenary part of the programme, legal expert Dr. Benjamin Lesjak (Institute for Legal Solutions of the Information Society Maribor) will present important innovations in the field of online surveys and the protection of personal data in relation to the new European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

The programme will continue with four parallel seminars, including three thematic seminars aimed at different levels of 1KA users (both beginners and advanced users), and a methodology seminar presenting general guidelines for online research methodology.
