Call for offer to take over 1KA commercial activities

Due to rising costs, 1KA has started charging for some roaming and customer support services in July 2020. This was primarily to test 1KA's revenue potential; it turns out that there is definitely some potential.

For public users with AAI registration, Arnes will provide hosting on the 1KA.arnes.si domain, but for other users, a sustainable operating system needs to be set up, financed by the users themselves.

As this is a typical commercial service, the academic environment does not offer the necessary flexibility. We are therefore looking for partner organisations to provide hosting and user support on their own deployment of the 1KA open source application.
