Survey Completion via Mobile Devices Is Skyrocketing

1KA allows administrators to analyse the paradata, where it is also possible to analyse the structure of the devices through which the surveys were completed.

A random sample of 1000 surveys was used to check the trend of surveys being completed on mobile devices. Since 2010, when there were none, in 2017 more than a third of surveys (35%) were completed on mobile devices.

The remaining devices are from various computers, and around 10% of all survey paraposts checked are from unidentified devices, which may include mobile devices, so the proportion completing surveys via mobile devices may be higher.

In a few years, most surveys will be completed on mobile devices. Other platforms report similar trends.

At the same time, we would like to inform users about the new option to choose the formats for surveys on mobile devices. Up until 2016, it was possible to select and customise survey formats on a computer, but with the new upgrade (Januar 2017, version: 17.01.29) it is now possible to select more survey formats or themes in 1KA for display on mobile devices. In the coming months, we will also add the possibility to design or customise your own survey format for mobile devices.
