Too many or too few reminders

It is sensible to enable soft reminder functionality for important questions (i.e. respondents are notified that the question is important if they do not answer it, but they can still continue without answering), e.g. questions that are the basis for conditions, of key importance for analysis, etc. Hard reminder functionality (i.e. respondents cannot continue until they answer the question) should only be enabled in extreme cases. Using hard reminders for every question discourages the respondent from participating in the survey.
