The 'Computations' tab offers the following menus:

'Calculations' for modifying existing variables and calculating new ones.
Values of text-type variables (open-ended responses) can be encoded into aggregated group values:
- In the 'Automatic coding' menu you can start the coding automatically,
- In the 'Manual coding' menu, you can code them manually.
In the 'Recoding' menu you can change (recode) values within the same or a new variable (e.g. save both values 1 and 2 as the value 3).
