All units and all responses are stored in the database on an ongoing basis. A special file is then generated from it, which is the basis for data viewing, exports and analysis. The file is generated and refreshed on an ongoing basis.
As the units are added on an ongoing basis, the process of generating the file (from the database) is practically invisible to the user. Only if the database changes (e.g. a variable is added or removed from an existing survey), the file has to be generated again when the data is viewed, which can take up to several minutes for tens of thousands of valid units.
In very rare cases, there may be a problem with the automatic file generation and the data may be slightly delayed or not kept up to date. In this case you can manually generate the file yourself.
