If you accidentally delete an entire survey, data or a specific question and thus the collected data, it is possible to restore the data for a certain period of time after the deletion.1KA has an archiving system for each click of each survey separately, so in principle any data can be restored.
Any data restoration is subject to a fee and will be charged according to the applicable price list. Simple deletions can be restored quickly, but sometimes it can be a lengthy process. This all depends on when and how the data was deleted.
Simple deletions include deleting an entire survey or deleting an entire database with the respondent's answers, for which we already have an automated restoration process.
In other cases (e.g. deletion of test entries), a developer intervention and restoration from archive copies is required, which is a costlier and more time consuming process.
It is important to note here that 1KA is available as is (which is also stated in the terms and conditions upon registration) and is not responsible for any errors made by users, so we cannot invest additional resources into data restoration, even if the damage is caused by an incomplete user interface.
It should be added that so far, no complete loss (permanent deletion of data or impossible data restoration) has been recorded. To further assist users, based on our experience, we have introduced automated restoration of deleted surveys, databases and questions, but we have not yet developed algorithms for restoring all other deletions, so the burden of resources in those cases is borne by the user.
We advise caution when deleting questions and data: we recommend hiding or filtering rather than deleting as relevant data can accidentally be deleted rather quickly.
